Personally,  I enjoy my time creating art through a glass perspective...up close, way close.  So, it makes sense that I should have this lens in my arsenal.

Four 50mm 1.4 lenses: (from left) Sigma, Canon, Nikon, Pentax

I got my tax refund and invested in a Sigma 50mm F1.4, and I found it to be fast, heavy, and sturdy. At 1.4 it can be quite ethereal with bright light sources and hotspots. It has a large 77mm filter size, which I have a multicoated UV and 8-point star filter for. Sweet lens.
